If I were President, I would:
1. Iraq and Afghanistan: Attempt to gather some sort of government for the countries out of citizens that actually live there, then pull out. Peace will never be reached and while we attempt to reach a peaceful resolution American men and women are dying. I don't think we should just drop what we are doing and pull out - but I do think we should be working towards exiting the countries.
2. Gas prices: Put a limit cap on them and work to develop alternative ways to fuel vehicles. This will never happen, however, because the government and politicians all own stock and shares in the gas companies. It's been proven over and over that the shortages that are threatened are made up. There are large oil fields in Alaska and one of the northern midwest states. But for some reason we do not show any interest in developing those fields. Why? Because with the threat of limited production and fields, gas prices can be hiked and those with stock and shares make more money. Yes, it's good for the companies when they gross over $40 billion a year - but what about those of us that don't own stock and have to pay at the pump?
3. Health Care for all Citizens: Should we move to a socialistic health care system? I don't necessarily think so. But at the same time, regulation of some type is needed. I think the real cause of the problem isn't necessarily the health care system, but rather the insurance system.
The malpractice insurance that doctors and hospitals have to carry is insanely expensive. That cost is then passed on to the patients in the form of higher prices for office visits, hospital stays, exams, x-rays, whatever. Added to that the amount that drug companies spend on R&D - and drug prices go up.
The solution (to me)? Control the insurance and pharmaceutical industries and health care will even out a bit.
