What to do?

After reading the following article.....http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/15999301/, what do you think the "right" thing to do would be?

Continue eradication efforts? What about those farmers that depend on the sale of their crops for basic life needs? Is it the US's place even to get involved?

I bet that the majority of that opium winds up in the US as herion, so we should get involved. As for the farmers.... like they only have to grow the herion? I bet that Dole could pay them to grow something organic, and than thay can make a lot of $........lol..........

If some little tan dude wants to smoke some hash in afghanistan it's none of our business. Do you wonder why everyone hates us?

They've been growing that crap there for a thousand years and now it's about us?

I can somewhat agree with the first part - although exportation is the final result of a lot of the opium product that is generated.


As for your last statement.......Who exactly is there that we need to kill?

I'm assuming we need to find someone if we're still there. If there's no one to kill and we're not eradicating crops, what are we still doing there?
